Profile electric welding pipes GOST 8645-68; GOST 8639-82
A profile pipe is a pipe whose cross-section has the shape of a square, rectangle or oval. The steel profile pipe is manufactured according to DSTU(GOST) 13663-86, DSTU(GOST) 8639-82, DSTU(GOST) 8645-68. It is used in constructions of various purposes: in mechanical engineering, construction, furniture production and many other categories.

Hot-deformed, cold-deformed, electric-welded general-purpose carbon steel profile pipes are manufactured in accordance with DSTU (GOST) 13663-86.
Profile pipes are used in many areas of construction: in the manufacture of building structures, in agricultural engineering, furniture production and other industries. The profile pipe is also used in the decoration of premises, shopping centers; used in the manufacture of light metal structures, trade equipment.
Profile pipes are produced by profiling from a rounded blank using the electric welding method. Profiling is carried out from the line of welding machines, which allows to ensure high geometric accuracy of pipe parameters. During the final stage of pipe production, mandatory weld quality control is performed. Non-destructive testing devices are used for this purpose. Profile pipes must comply with the state standard DSTU (GOST) 13663-89
There are hot-deformed and cold-deformed profile pipes, as well as electrowelded and electrowelded cold-deformed pipes. Profile pipes are made of steel grades 0-3sp/ps/kp, according to DSTU(GOST) 380. And also according to DSTU(GOST) 1050, grades 10, 20, 35, 45, 08kp/ps.
Depending on the purpose, profile pipes should be manufactured as follows: group A – with normalization of mechanical properties; group B – with normalization of mechanical properties and chemical composition.
